How it works
Order this service, ship us your smart frames, and our lab will fit them with new lenses based on your current Rx or a new Rx. We offer single vision, readers, and progressive lenses. We will cover the cost of shipping both ways; a shipping label will be sent to your email.
Prescription lenses, made in the USA
Every replacement lens is crafted in the United States, in 3-5 business days. Add your prescription details at checkout and our team will follow up with shipping instructions for sending in your frames.
This service is ideal for anyone with a pair of smart or AI glasses in which they would like to add a prescription.

Frequently Asked Questions
What kinds of frames can I send in?
We work with standard full-rim and semi-rimless frames made of metal or plastic. Unfortunately, we're not able to service rimless frames or wood frames at this time. if you're not sure your frame qualifies, just email us a photo at support@peekeyewear.co before you send it in.
How long does it take to make my glasses?
Production takes 3-5 business days from the moment we receive your prescription and pupillary distance. After that, free ground shipping adds roughly 4–5 business days depending on your location.
How should I package my frame before shipping it?
Place your frame in a small box or padded mailer — an eyewear case works great for additional protection. Add tissue paper, bubble wrap, or newspaper for extra cushioning, then seal the box securely with tape before you drop it off.
What's your return/refund policy on a lens replacement order?
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all lens replacement orders. If you're not completely satisfied, simply let us know within 30 days and we'll issue a full refund — including covering the cost of return shipping.
How does the mail-in process work?
After you complete your order, we'll email you a prepaid USPS shipping label. Package your glasses as directed, attach the label, and drop the box off at your local post office. From there, we take care of the rest — our opticians will custom-fit your new lenses and ship your glasses back to you.
Can you put prescription lenses in smart/AI glasses?
Yes, we offer a smart frame lens replacement. Available with clear or polarized lenses.
Can I send in sunglasses to be turned into clear glasses (or vice versa)?
Yes — we can install clear prescription lenses into a sunglasses frame, or polarized lenses into a frame that currently has clear lenses. Just select the lens type you want at checkout.
Can I get reimbursed by my vision insurance or FSA/HSA?
Yes! Prescription eyewear is a qualified medical expense. We operate as an out-of-network provider, which means getting reimbursed is a simple three-step process:
- Check your coverage: We always recommend checking with your insurance or FSA/HSA provider before purchasing to verify your specific out-of-network allowances.
- Checkout as normal: Purchase your Peek Eyewear glasses using a standard credit or debit card.
- Submit your receipt: Once your order ships, we will automatically email you a fully itemized receipt (separating the frame and lens costs). Simply upload this to your provider's portal to get paid back!
What is pupillary distance (PD) and how do I measure it?
Pupillary distance is the space between the centers of your pupils, measured in millimeters. We use it to position the optical center of each lens directly in front of your eye, which is critical for clear, comfortable vision. If your PD is not written on your prescription you can measure yours at home. Follow our step-by-step guide at peekeyewear.co/pages/how-to-measure-your-pd.
What features come standard on your lenses?
All our clear prescription lenses come standard with anti-scratch and anti-reflective coating($60 value!). We believe that a certain level of quality should come standard.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes — we offer free USPS First Class shipping both ways for lens replacements. A prepaid label will be sent to your email.
Priority shipping is available for $15. UPS overnight shipping is available for $49.95. Please note that expedited shipping will only reduce the shipping time. The production time still remains 3-5 business days.
Are your prescription lenses made in the USA?
Yes. Every prescription lens we sell — clear, polarized, single vision, or progressive — is cut, polished, and coated in the United States. Every pair is checked by a board certified optician before it leaves the lab.
